Hey Beautiful People...
I'm Selena Washington, founder of Just Breathe, LLC.
I first experienced the practice of yoga and its benefits while in college. However, my desire to become a yoga teacher came when providing mental health therapy to individuals coping with a range of challenges, from trauma to anxiety.
I am a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Yoga Teacher with over 500 hours in training including Prenatal Yoga. As a behavioral health professional, my goal is to use yoga to help individuals release stress and find peace through deep healing.
I have received a BA from Temple University and an MSW from Rutgers University. While my current work focuses on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the behavioral health field, my passion is to enhance support and impact change for BIPOC women’s health and wellness. I serve as a therapist, specializing in perinatal mental health and as an advocate for reproductive justice.
Our Philosophy
Integrating yoga and mental health for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) prioritizing the well-being and empowering BIPOC community, recognizing their unique experiences and challenges while fostering a sense of unity, healing, and growth.
